Dirt Track Nationals at Deep South Speedway
After a two-month break from racing, Joseph Joiner made a triumphant return to the racetrack Saturday night, scoring a dominant victory in the inaugural Southern Dirt Track Nationals at Deep South Speedway in Loxley, Ala. The 18-year-old Milton, Fla., native led the 40-lap Crate Late Model special event flag-to-flag in his MasterSbilt Race Car on his way to a $2,000 payday.
The second-starting Joiner outdueled home-state hotshoe Shep Lucas on the race's opening circuit and later pulled away from Tennessee invader Todd Morrow en route to scoring the biggest victory of his young career.Morrow finished second with Chris O'Connor third. Lucas slid back to fourth at the finish with Steven Brantley rounding out the top five.
Joiner's victory is his second in a row at Deep South. He scored a $1,000 Crate victory in his last outing on Sept. 10 in his first visit of the season to the high-banked, 4/10-mile oval. The victory also marks Joiner's 14th overall win of the season. He scored 12 victories in Super Late Model action this season on his way to a track championship at Southern Raceway in Milton.
Joiner and his Kingdom Power Sports/Joiner Racing team will look to keep the momentum rolling this upcoming weekend as they head to Phenix City, Ala., to compete in the Crate Late Model portion of the 37th annual National 100 at East Alabama Motor Speedway. The unsanctioned event pays $5,000 to the winner of Sunday's feature race.
Joseph Joiner and his Kingdom Power Sports/Joiner Racing team would like to thank twelve23movement.org, Genesis Shocks, Valken Racing and Suspension Spring Specialist for their continued support. For more information on Joiner and the team please visit www.JoinerRacing.com.
Sept. 12 - Joseph Joiner wins Crate Special at Deep South;
Wraps up Southern's Late Model Championship
Joseph Joiner made his first trip of the season to Deep South Speedway a successful one Saturday night, claiming a $1,000 victory in a Crate Late Model special event at the 4/10-mile oval in Loxley, Ala.
After advancing from the tail of the field to second in his heat race, Joiner started fourth in the main event. The 17-year-old Milton, Fla., native quickly worked his way forward, moving to the second position midway through the 25-lapper. Joiner hounded leader Randy Little throughout the second half of the race, and after coming up just short of winning on the racetrack, Joiner was declared the winner when Little's race car failed post-race technical inspection, giving Joiner his 13th overall victory of the season.
Along with his win at Deep South, Joiner also accomplished another triumph Saturday night. Even though he skipped the night's event at Southern Raceway in Milton, Fla., Joiner clinched the track's Super Late Model championship. The title is Joiner's first at Southern, but third in the past three years, following his back-to-back championships in 2009 and 2010 at the now-closed Northwest Florida Speedway Blackman, Fla.
July 5 - Joiner Brothers Victorious over Holiday Weekend
Kingdom Power Sports drivers Joseph and Jonathan Joiner both celebrated the Fourth of July weekend in a big way Saturday night at Southern Raceway. The two brothers from Milton, Fla., both scored dominant victories in their respective divisions at the 3/8-mile racetrack in front of a near-capacity crowd that turned out for the track's annual Fourth of July fireworks display.
Joseph, 17, extended his lead in Southern's Late Model points standings by racing to his 11th victory of the season. After starting third in the 25-lap main event, Joseph moved to the lead on lap two and pulled to more than a straightaway advantage over the race's remaining distance on his way to scoring the victory.
Older brother Jonathan, 24, started from the pole and led every lap of the Open-Wheel Modified feature for his third victory in six starts behind the wheel of his David Windom-owned race car.
Both Joseph and Jonathan will take the upcoming weekend off and plan to return to Southern Raceway on July 16. The racing action that night will be headlined by the $1,500-to-win Champion's Memorial for the Late Model division.

June 14 - Joseph Joiner Races from Last to Second at Southern Raceway
Joseph Joiner and the Kingdom Power Sports/Joiner Racing Team returned to Southern Raceway in Milton, Fla., Saturday night, where Joiner put his six-race win streak at the 3/8-mile racetrack on the line.
Joiner once again turned the fastest lap in time trials to earn his eighth fast-time award of the season. But instead of starting on the pole of the night's 25-lap feature, Joiner accepted a challenge from Mississippi team owner Randy Thompson, who offered Joiner a $400 bonus if he could start last and win.
The 17-year-old driver got a good start on his climb to the front, moving to the fifth position early. But his run seemed to stall out on the locked-down racetrack until a late caution gave him the break he needed. Joiner jumped up to the high groove on the restart and powered to the second position. He chased down leader Bo Odom in the closing laps, but ran out of time and settled for the runner-up finish. Even though he fell short of the victory, Thompson was so impressed with Joiner's run that he paid the young driver the bonus anyway.
Cameras from Pensacola news station WEAR TV 3 filmed the race and the channel's sports director Dan Shugart interviewed Joiner after the race. The station ran a feature on Joiner Tuesday night. The segment can be viewed on the station's website by clicking here. The piece on Joiner begins 30 seconds into the segment.

The victory is Joseph's eighth of the season and extends his win streak at Southern to five races.

April 18 - Joseph Joiner Claims Fifth Victory of the season; Sets new Track Record at Southern Raceway
Joseph Joiner drove his Kingdom Power Sports/Joiner Racing Team MasterSbilt Race Car to another victory in Saturday night's Super Late Model feature at Southern Raceway in Milton, Fla. Joiner led the 20-lap race flag-to-flag for a $1,000 payday and his fifth victory of the season.
The feature win wasn't the only highlight of the night for Joiner. The 17-year-old driver also topped Southern Raceway's Super Late Model track record in time trials. His lap of 15.221 seconds is the fastest lap around the 3/8-mile racetrack on record since it was widened and lengthened before the 2006 season.
The victory also puts Joiner back atop Southern Raceway's Super Late Model points standings after skipping a race earlier in the season caused him to fall to second.
The team's plans for the upcoming weekend are still uncertain, but with the Super Late Model division off this week at Southern the team may elect to travel to a pair of races in Mississippi.

The Kingdom Power Sports/Joiner Racing Team returned to Southern Raceway Saturday night with both Joseph Joiner and Jonathan Joiner entering the $1,000-to-win weekly racing event at the Milton, Fla., racetrack. It proved to be a successful outing for both drivers, as Joseph led older brother Jonathan to a one-two finish in the night's 25-lap main event.
After taking the previous weekend off, Joseph was on top of his game Saturday night, pulling off a clean sweep of the Super Late Model action. Joseph topped the field in time trials, recording a lap of 15.54 seconds around the 3/8-mile oval. He led every lap of his heat race and the feature, pulling to nearly a half-track advantage en route to his fourth victory of the season.
The race didn't go quite as smooth for Jonathan, who was piloting the team's under-powered Crate Late Model. Jonathan started third in the feature and held that position for the majority of the race. After surviving contact on a mid-race restart that turned him nearly completely sideways on the front straightaway, Jonathan moved to second late in the race and scored the runner-up finish. It was just the second race for Jonathan since his return to racing after sitting out for nearly two years.
The team is unsure of plans for the upcoming weekend. Check back later in the week for an update.
April 5 - Joseph Joiner Dominates NWFS for Third Victory of 2011
After being plagued by bad luck in his first two visits to Northwest Florida Speedway,
Joseph Joiner finally scored his first victory of the season at the quarter-mile racetrack in Blackman, Fla., Friday night. Joiner, the
2009 and 2010 NWFS Super Late Model champion, led every lap of the 25-lap feature, notching his third overall victory of 2011.
Joseph took Saturday night off, but his older brother Jonathan drove the team's Crate Late Model at
Southern Raceway in Milton, Fla., in his first race in nearly two years. Jonathan, the 2008 Southern Raceway Late Model champion, scored a solid
runner-up finish in the night's Super Late Model feature.
Joseph will be back in the Kingdom Power Sports/Joiner Racing entry this Saturday night, but the team
is yet to decide where they will compete. Options include the Mississippi State Championship Challenge Series event at Whynot (Miss.) Motorsports
Park, a National Late Model Series event at Dixie Dirt Track in Cottonwood, Ala., or the weekly show at Southern Raceway. Check back later in the week
for an update.

Saturday night for a $1,000-to-win weekly show at the 3/8-mile oval in Milton, Fla. Joiner posted the fastest lap in time
trials and won his heat race, but the team struggled to find the setup on Joiner's new MasterSbilt Chassis for the main event. He finished second in the 20-lap race.
The result gives Joiner two runner-up finishes and two victories in the past four events he has
entered. Joiner and the team will likely be in action at Northwest Florida Speedway in Blackman, Fla., Friday night in
another weekly show at the quarter-mile racetrack.

Joseph Joiner competed in two events over the past weekend
and brought home two solid finishes, including a victory Saturday night at Southern Raceway.
The weekend started with a trip to Northwest Florida Speedway in Blackman, Fla.,
where Joiner scored a hard-fought runner-up finish after having to come from the rear of the field twice during the night's
25-lap feature.
Joiner started third in Saturday night's feature at Southern Raceway in Milton, Fla., after power steering issues put
him behind in time trials and his heat race. After falling back to fifth early in the race, Joiner battled back and took the lead late in the
event to score his second victory of the season.
Plans for the upcoming weekend aren't complete, but Joiner and the Kingdom Power Sports/Joiner
Racing Team will likely be back in action at Southern Raceway again Saturday night.
